Kappa Sigma at Farmingdale State College Kappa Sigma is a values-based fraternity for men. We promote the ideals of brotherhood, personal growth, academic excellence, and service to others.

Kappa Sigma is focused upon the Four Pillars of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service. As a values-based men’s fraternity, Kappa Sigma strictly forbids hazing and fosters meaningful college experiences by offering progressive membership development and pledge education. We take on many causes, raising money by hosting charitable events and providing community service. Most importantly ho

wever, we have a good time doing it. Joining Kappa Sigma gives you an opportunity to be part of a brotherhood and make connections that would otherwise not be possible. We have our social events and attend mixers as well. Being a Kappa Sigma means having character and earning the respect of those around you. Where ever you go in life, the values you gain will be a part of you, and will last a lifetime.

Huge shoutout to our Brother of the Month, William Eberling.

Will’s been putting in real work for the chapter, most recently he organized a charity event with the Helping Hand Rescue Mission. He took the initiative to reach out, set everything up, and make sure it all ran smoothly. It was a great way for us to give back and he played a big role in making it happen.

As our chaplin, he’s also someone a lot of brothers lean on. He keeps things real, supports people when they need it, and helps keep the chapter tight and accountable.

He shows up, does what needs to get done, and sets a good example for what being a Kappa Sigma man is.

Friday , the brothers of Kappa Sigma volunteered at Helping Hand Rescue Mission, serving families in the community through food distribution, organizing donations, and assisting families in need. The experience was rewarding, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to step up and support those who need it.🔥

🆎Service is at the core of who we are. The Tau-Iota Chapter continues to lead through action, giving our time and energy to make a real impact. This is what it means to represent something bigger than ourselves.🆎

Brotherhood in action. This holiday season, Kappa Sigma transformed celebration into service, raising $1,250 and donating 30 coats to support the Brookhaven Town Hall Coat Drive while bringing smiles to the community through festive outreach. The brothers raised donations by handing out hot chocolate, candy canes, and offering to take pictures with Santa and his elves.

We also partnered with the Theodore Roosevelt Association to raise $2,180, helping two military heroes aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt reunite with their families for the holidays. Moments like these remind us that true leadership begins with giving back. When we presented the check to the TRA, they graciously provided our brothers with a private tour of President Theodore Roosevelt’s home in Oyster Bay. It was an incredible opportunity to experience a powerful piece of history, and a full-circle moment that honored the dedication and hard work they began back in October.

The Tau-Iota Chapter prides ourselves in these community service and fundraising efforts, we are leading the charge and setting the standard for what success and service is. We appreciate these opportunities and this is only the beginning.🆎
