What to expect as a Bachelor of Fine Arts student within the Design in Craft Concentration:
You'll explore a wide variety of materials and study both traditional and contemporary design in craft. Contemporary craft is one of the most vibrant areas of art today and offers a wide spectrum of opportunities for young artists after graduation. The Design in Craft concentration will introduce you to numerous mediums including clay, metal, vitreous enamels, stained glass, wood, textiles, papermaking, and book arts. Intermediate and Advanced classes in ceramics, jewelry & metalsmithing, and papermaking & book arts will offer you numerous opportunities to develop expertise and cultivate your creativity.
