Alums - we need your help! The Andres School of Education has been challenged by the other two schools to raise the most money to support our academic missions. You can help the Andres School rise to the top! Money raised will benefit the Exercise Science, Teacher Education and Counseling programs. Specifically, Exercise Science is hoping to raise enough funds to purchase a Cholestech LDX machine which will allow our students to analyze cholesterol levels, as well as a contact mat that we can use in several classes. Every little bit helps!

Last week, we saw a sneak peek into the Andres School of Education. We are excited to have the Andres School of Education take over the UIU social media page on Thursday’s this month. As we learned last time, there are TWO degree plans that a student can take within education - Exercise and Sports Studies or Teacher Education. Within these programs, you can customize your degree with an emphasis in exercise science, fitness and wellness, elementary education, secondary education, special education and/or early childhood.

Congratulations to UIU Alum Sydney Pirillo on her new position with Summit Chiropractic & Physical Therapy in Jesup and Waterloo!

We would like to officially welcome Sydney Pirillo ATC, PTA to the team! She has been helping us out part time while she was finishing her Athletic Training degree at Upper Iowa, and now will be working in both our Jesup and Waterloo offices.

On April 14th, Upper Iowa celebrated student accomplishments during its annual Honors and Awards Banquet. Four ATP students received scholarships at this year's banquet: Kelsey Hall, ATP '19 - Brooke Kerns Scholarship, Austin Steil, ATP '19 - Brooke Kerns Scholarship and Sodexo Campus Services Scholarship, Bradley Kaufer, ATP '19 - Arneson Family Scholarship, and Jenna Elsbernd, ATP '20 - Foster Cass Foundation Scholarship. 🎉Congratulations!
