I joined SAI because I wanted to be around people who shared my passion for music even if we didn't run in the same friend groups or weren't in the same ensemble, and I've gotten closer with a lot of people, especially those I was already familiar with, as a result. Also it's fun to wave my hands and make everyone make cool sounds!

I wanted to join SAI because I love music, but I’ve always been very self conscious of my music abilities. After a couple MRA’s I learned that this was a group of people that you can truly do what you love with a judgement free zone. They really just care about helping you better yourself. This group of people are my favorite people in my life!

“Well. I first wanted to join because I care and am passionate about music/needed to for my career. For several reasons I almost didn’t join SAI. But throughout the course of my time in the organization, almost every day is a chance to choose “Why SAI?” again and now the reasons are many. Anything from the shared sense sisterhood, that no matter what we all care about music and seeing it be developed and cultivated in every individual, to our philanthropic passions for service and promoting the values of excellence and wisdom throughout all avenues not just those that pertain to musical outreach. We all care for our community and strive to make the world a better place, that matters more than anything to mean and why I will always choose SAI and strive to be a worthy lifetime member of this organization”
