Hi everyone!! My name is Swathi Menon and I’ll be taking over the Instagram for today! I’m a sophomore majoring in psychology and minoring in biology and medical humanities hoping to become a pediatric physical therapist! Along with being a Fulbright Honors College peer mentor, I’m also a mentor for the EMPOWER program, a board member for the Indian Cultural Association, and an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Quetsch’s Family and Community Intervention Lab! During this past summer and multiple weekends since, I’ve been working at Camp Aldersgate in Little Rock, and I’m so thankful to be able to call it my home away from home! I am a sophomore Political Science and Economics major from Bentonville, Arkansas and hope to attend law school after graduation! On campus I am involved in the Associated Student Government, Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honors Society), and my sorority, Chi Omega.

Hi everyone! My name is Lillian Jennings and I am going to be taking you along with me today! I am a sophomore majoring in Biology as well as minoring in Spanish. I am also a peer mentor for Fulbright Honors College and weekly volunteer many different places around Northwest Arkansas! I am currently deciding on which research lab to join for my Honors thesis and plan to have one set before the end of the semester :) After I obtain my undergraduate degree in Biology, I plan to go to graduate school to get my masters in specifically Marine Biology and Conservation.

I got the amazing opportunity in the Summer of 2021 to check out the sea lab down in Dauphin Island Alabama! The Grand Bay estuary is one of the largest estuaries on the Mississippi-Alabama coastline and is very important in terms of science, research, and education. I’ll post some pictures from then on our story soon!

Hi everyone, my name is Khadeeja Asif and I will be taking over the Fulbright Honors Instagram today! I’m a Junior majoring in Biochemistry and Arabic and minoring in Medical Humanities and on the pre-med track. I’m currently the Diversity Co-Chair of AED and an FCHP mentor, and I volunteer at Mercy Hospital and the Circle of Life Hospice. In my free time, I enjoy puzzling and nature photography!!

It’s that time again!
Hey everyone, my name is Miller Bacon and I will be doing the Instagram takeover today! I am a senior biochemistry and history student and after I graduate in may I will be attending University of Virginia Law school! I am the associate director of the peer mentor program, and in my time outside of class I am a research manager in the EARN lab and a certified SCUBA diving instructor. I also have worked as a research assistant in biochemistry and am currently completing my honors thesis in history. I am a senior psychology major graduating this May (crazy!!!) with minors in biology and medical humanities. I have studied abroad twice, am a Fulbright Peer Mentor, Honors College Ambassador, research assistant in the Spark Psychology Lab, and member of AED, Order of Omega, and my sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma!

Tricia Starks, professor of history in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, will explore how medical abuse has persisted and flourished in the modern era in an upcoming preview lecture titled “Bad Medicine.” The lecture will take place at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 6, in the Gearhart Hall Auditorium. The lecture is open to the campus and community.
