Xiaoqing Song, an assistant professor of the University of Arkansas Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, has received a National Science Foundation CAREER Award to develop more efficient, compact, and high-voltage power conversion systems using wide-bandgap power devices.

Song's research will play a critical role in modernizing the power grid.
