FTCC Military and Veteran Programs

FTCC Military and Veteran Programs Weโ€™re here to support Veterans and their families in their pursuit for higher education! Great things to come from the FTCC Veterans Center.

Fayetteville has 60,000 military, many thousands of spouses and dependents, plus several thousand retirees and veterans. FTCC feels it is time to create a dedicated Veteran Center to meet the needs of this population! This is an exciting time to be at FTCC as a student to watch us grow and improve our services. Over the next few months, we will be striving to grow this page, make changes to the FT

CC Veteran Services website, improve processes in the veteran services office and create new programs. If you know any spouses or college age children who have VA Education Benefits or veterans/retirees and they want to go back to school, come see us. We will be glad to provide all the info needed to apply for your benefits and explain all the steps to make sure you know exactly what you are entitled to. If you have any feedback (good or bad) please let us know so that we can improve. Just send an email to [email protected]. The Director of Military and Veterans Programs is Tony Murphy, USAF (Ret). If there is anything that you would like to see on this page, or within the veterans center please let us know! Knowing what types of services and programs you want is one of the most important things to creating a successful veterans center. We hope to see you soon.

Don't forget to verify your enrollment with the VA at the end of the month! The VA has provided some great guidance on how to do this. You can reach out to us for any questions regarding verification or the VA at 1-888-442-4551.

Starting in January 2026, all Department of Veterans Affairs education beneficiaries, including Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) students will be required to verify their enrollment each month to receive their benefit payments.

Please note that you must verify your enrollment for the VA to begin processing your monthly benefit. Once verified, payment processing can take five to seven calendar days.

You can learn more about the different enrollment verification methods in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3d09fUIuxM. If you have questions about your enrollment, please contact your School Certifying Official. You can find their contact information listed on the GI Bill Comparison Tool (https://www.va.gov/education/gi-bill-comparison-tool/ )
