Mardi Gras, meaning ‘Fat Tuesday,’ is a centuries-old celebration rooted in French tradition and shaped by New Orleans culture. It marks the final day of indulgence before Lent, a time for rich food, parades, music, and community. From the iconic purple, green, and gold to beads, brass bands, and king cake, Mardi Gras is more than a party. It is history, culture, and joy all rolled into one. Laissez les bons temps rouler. 💜💚💛
