With heavy hearts we share the news of the passing on August 13 of our mentor, teacher, director, playwright, and founder of the Jack Tale Players, Dr. R. Rex Stephenson. Rex is beloved and missed by hundreds of students and performers and innumerable others who were touched by his life's work. As we celebrate Rex's achievements and legacy, we look forward to the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Jack Tale Players at Ferrum College's Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre this October, and an upcoming reunion. We will continue to carry on Rex's legacy, grateful for the privilege of working with him and learning from him during his brilliant career. Sail, ship, sail.
