Hi Faculty & Staff,

The Business Affiliates Scholarship application is now open! Since its creation, this scholarship has supported over 370 students, providing critical financial assistance to those with ties to Hancock County. Eligible domestic undergraduate students who either graduated from a Hancock County high school or work for a Hancock County organization are encouraged to apply.

Administered by the University of Findlay, the Business Affiliates Scholarship Program is made possible through generous contributions from organizations, corporations, and individuals. By participating in this program, you forge a strong bond between students and the community, increasing the likelihood of retaining talented young professionals to the area post-graduation.100% of the dollars raised go directly toward scholarships for UF students.

Please help spread the word and encourage students to apply! The deadline to submit applications is February 27, 2026.

The Bethany Beach Police Department is taking applications for summer 2026 Seasonal Police Officers. I am reaching out to college professors and department chairs to inform them of an exciting employment opportunity for their students. Every year, my agency hires approximately 17 young men and women who want to gain hands on experience as police officers. These individuals perform basic law enforcement duties under supervision during the summer months (May-Sept). While doing so, my agency mentors them, trains them and works with them to gain internship requirements if needed. In return, their employment helps our town provide more boots on the ground for the safety of our visitors and residents during the summer beach season.
