☆ MEET THE 2020-2021 TEAM ☆

Last but certainly not least, we would like to introduce our advisor, Professor Brooks!
She is an assistant professor in the College of Education and teaches courses in special education to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. She also serves on several UF committees. Her favorite memory was being named the UF student organization Advisor of the Year. The officers and members of STRIDE all created an elaborate ruse in order to have her attend the meeting to receive the award. She was honored to be nominated and amused by their sneakiness! Most people know her youngest brother is deaf, but not many people know Professor Brooks plays the piano, organ, and bassoon. She also love musicals!

Marissa is our Vice President! She is a junior studying Animal Science/Pre-Vet. Along with STRIDE, she is a student admissions ambassador, orientation leader, and the public’s relations office for scuba diving club. A fun fact about Marissa is that she has auditioned for the Voice twice!

Maddy is our Secretary ! She is going to be a senior this year studying exercise science/strength and conditioning. Outside of STRIDE, she is also an orientation leader and a member of Mortar Board. A fun fact about Maddy is that her family has moved 4 times in 3 years!

Jill is our Public Relations officer! She is going to be a senior studying middle childhood education. Outside of STRIDE, she is also involved in Sigma Kappa sorority, SGA, UFOSEA, KDP, Mortar Board, and is a student admissions ambassador. A fun fact about Jill is that she can sing her alphabet backwards!
