The recruits of the 9th Fitchburg State University Police Program’s Recruit Officer Course (ROC) were put to the test this week! As part of their intensive first responder training, they ran through a series of high-pressure, real-world scenarios.

FSU Police Sgt. Timothy Grant and Sgt. Dylan Soldi led the training, but they had some excellent help making the scenarios as realistic as possible. Active police officers (including ROC alumni) and current Police 4+1 students stepped up to play the roles of victims, observers, and even "intrusive bystanders."

Shoutout to everyone who helped prepare our future law enforcement leaders for the field. Hands-on training makes all the difference!

Advanced medical tactical skills are a cornerstone of modern community policing. This week, the Fitchburg State University Police Program/Police Academy 9th Recruit Officer Course (ROC) at continued their rigorous First Responder training, focusing on emergency wound assessment and trauma care.

Under the instruction of Fitchburg State University Police Sgt. Timothy Grant, recruits are developing the tactical proficiency and critical decision-making skills required to stabilize injuries before EMS arrives.

This morning, our Division of Fitchburg State Student Affairs gathered in the Hammond Main Lounge for their annual retreat.
Dean of Students Tim St. John launched the session with a comprehensive year-in-review presentation, providing key updates and reflecting on the team's measurable impact on student success and campus vitality. The day transitioned into collaborative group workshops focused on strategic goal-setting for the upcoming academic cycles.
