This spring, seven East Henderson High School students graduated with a high school diploma and a tuition-free associate degree from Blue Ridge Community College through the College’s Career and College Promise pathways.

“As a career coach, I could not be prouder of the accomplishments of these seven East Henderson High School students,” said Blue Ridge career coach Kate Stucke. “Obtaining an associate degree while completing high school is rare and truly something to celebrate.”

Blue Ridge Community College recognized dozens of students completing the Nurse Aide program during a special Nurse Aide Recognition and Pinning Ceremony held May 14 at the Health Sciences Center in Hendersonville.

The ceremony celebrated the 2025-2026 nurse aide class as they completed training to enter the healthcare workforce, where they will play an essential role in caring for patients and supporting healthcare teams throughout the community and region through compassionate service.

Fans of classic cars and unique vehicles will hit the road on May 30 to gather at Blue Ridge Community College’s Henderson County Campus for the 21st annual Auto & Truck Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show takes place at 180 West Campus Drive in Flat Rock.

Free to the viewing public, all proceeds from vehicle entry fees will support students enrolled in Blue Ridge’s Automotive Technology program as they compete in SkillsUSA automotive competitions.

The event is hosted by the Great Smoky Mountain Region and Little Detroit Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. During the show, Blue Ridge’s expansive Patton Building parking lot will feature row after row of antique vehicles for spectators to view. Food and drinks including BBQ and hot dogs will be available for purchase.
