Est. 1851 | Zeta Eta Chapter The Adelphean Society was later renamed Alpha Delta Pi in 1913.

On May 15th, 1851 the first and oldest secret society for women, the in world, was founded and named The Adelphean Society. Founded at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, Ella Pierce Turner, Octavia Andrew Rush, Elizabeth Williams Mitchell, Sophronia Woodruff Dews, and Mary Evans Glass; this secret society was founded on the principals of sisterhood, values and ethics,

high academic standards, and social responsibility. On February 17th, 1973 the Zeta Eta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was established at The University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. Today these principals guide women in more than 154 active collegiate chapters and in over 150 alumnae associations of Alpha Delta Pi.

WLFEO Wednesday feature one of our amazing deltas!!

“Being in Alpha Delta Pi has genuinely been one of the best experiences in my life! As a senior it’s so hard for me to believe that my time with this chapter is almost over but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m especially grateful for my diamond family, I would not be half the person I am today without them, plus the rest of my sisters are my biggest and loudest supporters whether I’m dancing, helping me study, late night conversations or just saying a quick hello on the way to class. While balancing school, Adpi, dance, work and everything else in between it can be hard to really be present in what I’m doing but through my sisters I learned that it is okay to take a break whenever I need it! Adpi thank you for giving my sisters, best friends, and future bridesmaids! To my sweet littles Meredith & Jordan being y’alls big has been the biggest blessing and I could not imagine my life without y’all in it, and to the rest of my amazing diamond family each of you hold a special place in my heart and I am so excited to see what the rest of y’all’s time in Adpi has in store!!🩵💎”
