Recent MJA Grad earns Promotion!

Congratulations to Detective Nick Rhoden on his promotion to Detective Sergeant. Det. Sgt. Rhoden has served with the Alexandria Police Department since 2022 as a patrol officer, field training officer, and detective. Prior to his time with APD he served with Cold Spring and Kenton County Police Departments. In his new role Det. Sgt. Rhoden will oversee all operations of criminal investigations to include the expansion of our detective division, police social worker, case management, and property room management.

MJA Graduate is the new Assistant Chief of the City of Alexandria Police Department! Congratulations Lt. Col. Roessler!

We are pleased to welcome Lt. Col. Ryan Roessler as the new Assistant Chief of the Alexandria Police Department.

Lt. Col. Roessler began his law enforcement career in 2010 with the Kentucky State Police, where he served as a trooper and sergeant, and was assigned to the Governor’s Protection Detail. In 2019, he joined the Kenton County Police Department, most recently serving as sergeant over the Criminal Investigations Division.

A Campbell County native, Lt. Col. Roessler is a graduate of Bishop Brossart High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University, a master’s degree in Justice Administration from the University of the Cumberlands, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

We are excited to welcome him to our organization and look forward to the leadership and experience he brings to the continued growth of our agency.

TBI 2025 Summer Internships

Qualifications:

Internships are open to college juniors, seniors, or those pursuing post-graduate education. Candidates must submit a full academic transcript, two letters of reference, and, if selected, be prepared for an extensive background investigation.

2025 Timetable:

Application Period: January 27th - March 14th
Notifications Of Selection For Internship: April 4th
Internship Orientation: May 30th
Internship Ends: August 1st
