These programs provide grants, loans and work-study funds to students attending college. We are committed to share general financial aid information through this page. In collaboration with Folsom Lake College’s Center for Excellence and Financial Wellness at Sacramento State, we invite you to help share the word about our Creating Your College Financial Plan workshop happening on May 2nd, 2023 from 3:00pm-4:00pm via Zoom. This workshop is open to LRCCD students as we understand how important it is for our students to manage their college finances effectively.

At this event, our students will learn how to create a budget, track expenses, manage debt, and explore financial aid opportunities available to community college students. Students will be provided with insightful tips and strategies to help them make informed financial decisions and achieve their financial goals.
Whether our students are studying full-time, part-time, or balancing other responsibilities, this event is sure to benefit everyone!

OUTAGE ALERT – IRS DRT Outages July and August 2022

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) will be unavailable on the following dates and times during the months of July and August 2022:

• Sunday, July 31; 2–5 p.m. Eastern time (ET)
• Sunday, Aug. 7; 2–5 p.m. ET

During these outage periods, users may access the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form and the Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Plan Request. However, if an action requires entry of federal tax information, the tax information will need to be provided manually (or, in the case of the IDR Plan Request, alternative documentation of income may need to be provided). Applicants may wish to complete these applications after the outages are over.

Need financial aid to attend a California Community College this fall? Receive help filling out your or Application (CADAA) on May 3rd from 5:30pm-7:00pm. The deadline for community college students to be eligible for a Cal Grant is Sept. 2nd. Register today via the link in our bio or at http://bit.ly/registerC4C

To enter the $1,000 scholarship drawing, students must attend a Cash for College workshop, fill out the post workshop survey, and must be Cal Grant eligible. Funds will be disbursed by a private donor and winners will be contacted in September.
