Thank you to everyone who attended our Spring Media Arts Double Feature!! Congratulations to all the students for their hard work, especially to the class of 2026.

Shout out to our seniors for their amazing and creative capstones! Good luck to all of your future endeavors and know you’re always welcome back at Pacific.

Also, thank you to Vanessa and the Forest Grove Community School for working with our students to produce three promotional videos.

Don’t miss our senior screening on May 8th at 7:30pm AND on May 14th at 4:30pm.

For her capstone, Angelina’s wrote a featured-length screenplay called “Tussery Den.” Her project will explore the not-so-mundane world of wolfsouls as they come of age, with additional themes of indigeneity and living with the natural world. Dominguez will discuss the process of worldbuilding, and writing to convey a fantastical story.

For her capstone, Jenna created a documentary called For The Culture. Her senior capstone is a documentary about the experiences of Pacific Islander college students in the Pacific Northwest that struggle wih cultural identity and belonging.

We invite applications for student participants in the 2026 Narrative Film Lab at Pacific University. This unique opportunity brings together Pacific Alumni Jaren Kerr, Leiana Petlewski, and Emily Smith, who are professional in the field, and 5 undergraduate students to produce a short film. Prof. Enie Vaisburd is the faculty advisor.

Students receive stipends ($300) to participate in this 4 day project. Participation in the project will provide experience with a variety of career skills, will boost academic and professional growth, provide hands-on indie film experience, and help connect with professionals, peers, and alumni, in addition to providing close mentorship.

Applicants must be available on the following dates: May 13 or 15, May 20, May 22 and 25 for the entire day. Locations TBA.
Applications are due May 1, 2026!
