Shone Farm is the outdoor learning lab for the Santa Rosa Junior College Agriculture and Natural Resources

Meet Cassidy! ✨

Cassidy is preparing to transfer to Chico State to pursue a degree in Animal Science. Her career goal is to become a reproduction and genetics specialist, and her time on the Pasture Crew has been great working experience!

When she’s not caring for animals, Cassidy has an eye for livestock photography and enjoys capturing photos of the animals. 📸🐄

We are so excited to see what this next chapter looks like for Cassidy and can’t wait to follow her journey. Wishing her all the best as she continues pursuing her goals!

Lamb shares are now available from Shone Farm!

Our lambs are raised by students in the Animal Science program, providing hands-on learning opportunities in animal care and daily livestock operations.

Lambs will be harvested in late June and processed by Willowside Meats, where you'll be able to customize your cuts and wrapping to fit your family's needs.

Kallista has been an incredible part of both our Garden and Livestock Crews, bringing versatility, dedication, and a great attitude to everything she does. Outside of Shone Farm, she stays just as busy—working at a dairy farm, pumpkin patch, Christmas tree farm, and exploring many other pursuits!

This week’s highlighted student is Alonso!

Alonso is a Livestock Crew Lead here at Shone Farm and plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly. He also serves as President of the SRJC Ag Ambassadors Club, where his passion for animal sciences and natural leadership truly shine.

We’ve truly enjoyed having him on our team these past few years and are excited to see all the great things his future holds!
