Looking for a gentle, enjoyable way to improve your flexibility, balance, strength, and energy? Join us for ESSENTRICS® for Beginners, a welcoming class designed for those new to the program or anyone who wants to revisit the fundamentals.

Created by Miranda Esmonde-White, author of the New York Times bestseller Aging Backwards, ESSENTRICS® is a dynamic, full-body workout that combines stretching and strengthening to help relieve aches and pains, improve mobility, and even stimulate the brain. 🧠🎶

Each class begins with a brief discussion about the science behind the program, followed by an uplifting workout set to music that makes movement enjoyable and effective. No experience needed!

Instructor Terry Nolan has been teaching ESSENTRICS® since 2013 and holds the program's highest level of certification. Known for her mindful, encouraging, and fun teaching style, Terry helps participants rebalance their muscles and joints while enjoying every step of the journey.

What makes a movie unforgettable? The thrilling chase, the tearful goodbye, the romantic kiss? According to legendary director Martin Scorsese, film and music are inseparable, and this course will show you why.

Join us for a fascinating journey through the Golden Age of Hollywood (1930s-1960s) and discover how music became one of cinema's most powerful storytelling tools. From heart-pounding suspense to soaring romance, film music shapes our emotions in ways we often don't even realize.

Through memorable film clips, captivating musical excerpts, and behind-the-scenes interviews, you'll explore how composers, directors, and producers worked together, and sometimes clashed, to create the iconic movie scores that continue to inspire audiences today. You'll gain a new appreciation for the artistry behind the music and never watch a movie the same way again.

Leading the course is Michael Morrison, award-winning educator, former David Ross Boyd Professor at the University of Oklahoma, and lifelong enthusiast of cinema, literature, and film music. Have you ever wondered what makes a grand pipe organ come alive? Join us for OSHR 3256: Behind the Pipes: Exploring CSU's Casavant Organ with renowned musician and educator Dr. Joel Bacon!

Colorado State University's magnificent Casavant organ has captivated audiences for decades and is admired by organists across the country. Built in 1968, this remarkable instrument helped set new standards in American organ building and remains one of Fort Collins' most cherished musical landmarks.
