CSU Astronomy at the Madison-Macdonald Observatory

The Department of Physics, the College of Natural Sciences, and the Department of Art and Art History are partnering together to create a mural on the outside of CSU’s Madison-Macdonald Observatory.

We are keeping an eye on the weather. We are hoping the rain now will clear the sky some by 8 pm. Check back at 7 pm for a decision on the public observing night.

The weather forecast says it should clear up later today, so we plan to open for public observing from 8:15 - 9:15 pm today. If you drive, you can park on the street or in the parking lot across the street. (Note: the football gods want us to vacate the parking lot by 9 pm.)

There's a partial lunar eclipse this week! It starts at 8:33 pm on Thursday and ends at 11:51 pm.
