As we wrap up National Park and Recreation Month, we're grateful for our community of responsible recreators who help care for the places we love.

reminds us that part of being a good steward of the outdoors is knowing how to share space with wildlife! Did you know? Not all babies are orphaned if they're alone. Fledgling birds, fawns, and other baby wildlife are often still being cared for nearby by their parents. Observe from a distance, keep pets and people away, and contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator before intervening.

Thanks for being a a good neighbor to wildlife. 💚

Happy National Park and Recreation Month!

Just a reminder from CSU Extension and that keeping dogs leashed in sensitive wildlife areas and respecting posted trail regulations helps protect nesting birds, young wildlife, and fragile ecosystems during peak recreation season.

Even the most well-behaved pups can unintentionally disturb wildlife, damage nesting areas, or cause stress and injury to animals sharing our outdoor spaces. See you (and your leashed pups) on the trails!
