❤️ A GIFT OF GRATITUDE TO OUR FIRST RESPONDERS 🚒
The Iowa Central Community College Visual & Digital Arts Programs, in partnership with the TRIO Program, recently had the honor of creating and gifting a special piece of artwork to the Fort Dodge Police Department and Fort Dodge Fire Department.
This heartfelt project brought together Iowa Central students from around the world, who shared their creativity and talents to create something meaningful for the community they are now a part of.
This artwork is more than just a piece of art—it is a thank-you. ❤️
It represents our appreciation for the men and women who serve our community every day, responding when we need them, caring for our neighbors, and helping keep Fort Dodge and the surrounding communities safe.
We are incredibly proud of our students for using their creativity to connect, give back, and make a difference.

A Night to Remember: Center Stage with Ben Ahlers
What a special evening at Center Stage with Ben Ahlers, hosted in Fort Dodge to support the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association!
Born and raised in Fort Dodge, Ben shared not only his incredible talent and experiences as an actor and performer, but also something that made the evening especially meaningful—his genuine and heartfelt love for his hometown.
From beginning his journey in community theater as a young child to performing on major television and film productions, Ben has taken his Fort Dodge roots with him throughout his career. Hearing him talk about the people, places, experiences, and community that helped shape him was a wonderful reminder of the impact that the arts can have on a person’s life.
It was inspiring to see someone who has achieved so much in the entertainment industry return home and give back to the community that supported him from the beginning.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this fundraising event possible and to everyone who came out to celebrate the arts in Fort Dodge! Your support helps the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association continue creating opportunities for the arts to thrive in our community.

A huge shoutout to Iowa Central Community College students 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞, who stepped up to photograph the event—and did a fabulous job!

Jacob is already gaining experience through wedding photography, and Bre is looking forward to putting her talents to work photographing quinceañeras.

We love seeing students discover what they’re good at and then find opportunities to actually DO it. That’s how skills grow, confidence builds, and passions can start becoming careers.

❤️🖤 Welcome to ELC, Joslyn Weber! 🖤❤️

Please help us welcome Joslyn Weber, our new Elementary Art Teacher at Demoney Elementary! 🎨✨

Originally from Spirit Lake, Joslyn is a graduate of Spirit Lake High School and is excited to be joining the ELC family. During her student teaching experience alongside Mr. Lang, she quickly fell in love with the creativity, enthusiasm, and talent of ELC students, making it an easy decision to return.

As she begins her first year, Joslyn is looking forward to teaching students new creative skills while helping them grow their love for art. One of her favorite parts of teaching is sharing laughs with her students and creating a fun, welcoming classroom where creativity can thrive.

A fun fact about Joslyn is that she spent four amazing months studying abroad in Italy! 🇮🇹

Outside of school, she owns and operates Joslyn Michelle Photography & Design, combining her passion for art and creativity through photography. She also enjoys spending time at the Estherville pool with her cousins during the summer.

One piece of advice Joslyn tries to live by is:
✨ "Always follow your dreams, and don't let fear—or anything else—hold you back."

Joslyn wants students and families to know that while she loves teaching, she also loves learning from others. She's always excited to hear new ideas, try new things, and embrace new adventures.
