Coral scientists from Nova Southeastern University brought their research halfway around the world this summer, presenting at the 16th International Coral Reef Symposium in Auckland, New Zealand.

Researchers and students from NSU's National Coral Reef Institute delivered 21 talks and 7 research posters covering coral restoration, disease, and reef science, work that's helping shape how coral reefs are protected around the globe.

"Multiple students and researchers from NSU were able to share their research with other coral scientists from 90 countries," said NSU Research Associate Rachel Ionata.
We're proud of our researchers and students for representing NSU on the world stage of coral science! 🦈🪸

Please join NSU in honoring the first responders, victims, and survivors of September 11, 2001.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the tragedy, and NSU is coming together with the City of Fort Lauderdale and NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale for a ceremony of remembrance, along with free admission to Joel Meyerowitz: Aftermath, a moving photographic exhibit capturing the courage and recovery efforts that followed.

Take a moment this September 11 to remember, reflect, and honor those we lost.

Take a look at the future of healthcare. 🥼🦈

NSU celebrated students across a range of health professions disciplines during White Coat ceremonies for the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine held across our Fort Lauderdale and Tampa Bay Regional campuses.

As one of the nation's largest educators of health professionals, NSU is proud to help shape the physicians and healthcare leaders who will care for communities across Florida and beyond.

Welcome to Fin's Landing! 🦈

NSU's newest dining location is now open to students, faculty, and staff on Main Campus in the Terry Building, right in the heart of our healthcare programs community.

Whether you're grabbing a quick snack between classes or sitting down for a full meal, Fin's Landing has something for everyone. With spacious seating and a modern, inviting atmosphere, it's quickly becoming the place for Sharks to refuel, recharge, and connect.

A special thank you to officials from the Town of Davie, including Mayor Judy Paul, as well as our partners for joining us to celebrate this grand opening. Their partnership and dedication helped bring this vision to life.

Come see what's on the menu, we'll save you a seat! 🍽️

Jose Agurto spent 15 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, and years after struggling to talk about what he'd seen. Traditional therapy didn't stick. What finally helped? A racing simulator. 🏎️

NSU's College of Psychology has partnered with The Veterans Trust to launch a program that uses motorsports to teach veterans real stress-management skills. Wearing sensors that track heart rate and breathing, instructors coach participants through breathing techniques as the pressure builds. The goal: recognize the early signs of fight-or-flight and learn to calm down before reacting, both on the track and off.

The program has already helped 25 veterans, with a waitlist of 30 more, and has been featured in the Sun Sentinel, Miami Herald, and more.
