One of the advantages of spending a lifetime in an industry is learning to recognize when major shifts are taking place.

This week aboard MSC Poesia during MSC Cruises’ inaugural Alaska season, my husband and I had the privilege of sailing in Yacht Club alongside MSC Cruises USA Chairman Rick Sasso, distinguished guests, dignitaries, and international press.

Interestingly, Rick and I both began our lives in the travel industry back in 1972.

After more than five decades in travel, I believe we are witnessing one of the most significant changes our industry has seen in many years.

Experiences once considered out of reach for many travelers are becoming attainable in ways they were not before.

This is not hype.
