UAFS Computer Science blended the best of both worlds with a spicy mix of computer science and snacks at our Fall 2023 Chips and Salsa Social Event and Game Night! The event kicked off the evening with tech enthusiasts mingling, sharing stories, and networking. Everyone got settled in and dove headfirst into our game night that was filled with epic moments of unexpected alliances. We had a selection of chips, salsa, guacamole, pizza, and more to keep the energy levels high.

Huge thanks to Dean Linus Yu who came to spice up the night and make the event possible.

UAFS Computer Science recently hosted the 2022-2023 ICPC regional programming competition where students from universities across the state of Arkansas competed against one another. The International Collegiate Programming Contest is the premiere algorithmic programming contest in the world where college students compete in teams of three to solve real-world problems. The contests fosters a combination of creativity, teamwork, and innovation to build software programs under pressure. The competition encourages students to build stronger skills in computer science and engineering as they become the world’s next problem solvers.

We want to thank everyone who joined us for this event and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
