Nursing students played a vital role in the One Pill Can Kill training, assisting with hands-on naloxone training and empowering participants to respond effectively in overdose situations.

10/07/2025

More than 200 students, faculty, and staff participated in One Pill Can Kill training today to learn how to test for fentanyl, recgonize an overdose, effectively use Narcan, and respond with confidence in a crisis.

Presented by Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, the statewide initiative raises awareness about the dangers of fentanyl-laced pills and gives participants all the tools and training to act in an emergency.

Naloxone training was led by UAFS nursing students, who helped prepare our community to save lives both on and off campus.
