Another great feature on a COM alum doing awesome things - Terel's BA is in interpersonal and organizational communication!

Terel Lynn, B.A. ’12, M.S. ’21, earned a bachelor’s, worked on our admissions team, started his own company (Smile More Meal Prep & Catering), and came back for a master’s. Terel kicks off our Mastodon Alumni Community Alumni Spotlight series with some great advice for prospective students:

“Make the most of every opportunity you can,” he said. “PFW allowed me the opportunity to reinvent myself! I was able to enter those doors as a new person.

”If you are considering PFW, then take these words of advice: GET INVOLVED! I have friendships and networks that have put me where I am today, and I met them while at PFW.”

Things are always slightly different around campus in the summer - if you're around, here's the relevant hours to be aware of!

Don's at Walb and Java Spot aren't on this list because they'll be closed over the summer.

Enjoy your break - or if you're taking a class or two this summer, good luck! ☀️

Some behind-the-scenes photos of Journalism and Media Production students in COM 414 this past semester. They spent some time in studio to produce a special edition of the Summit City Observer!

Original video op-docs included topics such as AI in education, Fort Wayne street art, community resources, fiber arts, pipe organs, fashion trends, and the new soccer stadium to highlight what’s happening right here in our community.

You made it through the semester! However the grades shake out, be proud of yourself for getting through, and enjoy your summer break ☀️

If you're graduating, an extra congrats for that! All your hard work has paid off.

If you're not graduating, we'll see you back in the fall - or maybe even over the summer if you've picked up a summer class or two.

This is a great feature on Rachel Delaney - another COM alum doing awesome things!

Rachel Delaney, B.A. ’21, is a regional director for the Ohio Attorney General's office. Before that, she double majored in communication and psychology, took on leadership roles, and made lasting connections with faculty, staff, and other students.

“This is not just a place to get a degree,” she said. ”It is a place to discover your strengths, build lifelong friendships, and find the confidence to pursue your goals. That was something I did not expect, and it is one of the reasons I am so grateful I chose PFW.”

Check back next week for another Mastodon Alumni Community spotlight, and visit pfw.edu/pfw-alum to read Rachel’s full interview.
