Today, we join so many others who are also grieving the loss of Gloria Steinem and recognizing her impact on our lives and work.

When the Women’s Studies Program faced closure in 2016, she lent her pen to our cause, sending a letter to university leadership to support the reinstatement of the women’s studies major. We owe her, and her generation of feminist-activists, a debt we work every day to repay. RIP Gloria Steinem.

Mark Your Calendars! The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program's kicking off the semester by welcoming back students and the return of women's professional baseball with a screening of the classic "A League of Their Own, " starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis. Come a little early to grab a slice of free pizza, snacks and a drink before the movie starts, and stay for the post-movie discussion, led by Dr. Stevie Scheurich!
