Please join us in congratulating Kristin Bassett for being named one of IUPUI’s Elite 50 graduate and professional students.
Kristin Bassett, MSN, RN, CNE is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Indiana University School of Nursing, Fort Wayne campus and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) – Executive Leadership student at IUPUI. Her expertise is in Leadership & Health Policy with a Neonatal Intensive Care nursing background. She teaches the undergraduate leadership courses on the Fort Wayne campus, as well as a variety of clinicals.
In 2019, she was selected as the student representative to attend the AACN Student Policy Summit in Washington, D.C. with Dean Robin Newhouse. Kristin also received a scholarship to attend the Academy Health Policy Conference in Washington D.C., was inducted into Dr. Sharron Crowder’s IUSON Eagles Mentoring program, completed a Legislative Fellowship as faculty with Representative Ed Clere, and continues her faculty development in Policy by her participation in The Bridge Program. Kristin serves as the elected Chair of the Leadership Succession Committee and Board member for Sigma: Xi-Nu Chapter and elected board member of the Indiana Nurses Foundation for Indiana State Nurses Association. Kristin is dedicated to her students and believes in role-modeling leadership, advocacy, and engagement to encourage and inspire future generations of nurses.
