Donald Boyle (Pre-Med Biology ’28) is one of four interns selected to participate in the Vera Bradley Future Scholars Program at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Mentored by Dr. Stephanie Hurwitz, he’s researching molecular techniques and intracellular pathways in leukemia cells post-treatment, with the goal of improving bone marrow transplant outcomes.

⚽🏆 World Cup fever has fans watching every call. 👀 Saint Francis alumnus Alexis Da Silva (BBA ’16) knows the pressure firsthand, officiating at the highest levels of U.S. and international soccer.

Until he became a referee, Alexis Da Silva didn’t always appreciate those who maintain order on the soccer pitch. He sees things differently now as a professional referee.

We were grateful to host students from the University of Saint Francis - Fort Wayne, IN for a week-long service retreat earlier this month. Traveling all the way from Indiana, these dedicated volunteers spent a week delivering food and furniture to local families in need. Their compassion and hard work made a meaningful impact in our community. Thank you, friends!

Gianna Obringer (Biology and Environmental Science ’29) is making waves as an aquatics intern at the Fort Wayne Zoo! 🌊

Working with animals ranging from penguins and otters to stingrays and sharks, she’s strengthening her skills in aquatic animal care.

Whether she’s testing water quality, preparing diets or supporting medical care, each day offers something new to discover. ✨

Saint Francis alumni Kyle and Megan (Diagostino) Sovine found love post-college after a chance March meeting. They returned to campus to tie the knot last fall at the Oratory of St. Francis.
