We are proud to announce that the Purdue University Fort Wayne School of Education has earned the highest possible rating, an A+, from the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) for literacy preparation in our Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education programs. This national recognition reflects our faculty's unwavering commitment to preparing future educators with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions grounded in the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy instruction.

We are also honored to be prominently featured in NCTQ's newly released Indiana Case Study, which highlights PFW's leadership in strengthening literacy preparation and advancing educator excellence across the state. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, school partners, mentor teachers, alumni, and teacher candidates who work each day to improve outcomes for children and families.

The School of Education at Purdue University Fort Wayne is pleased to announce that it has once again earned national accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for excellence in our initial and advanced educator preparation programs. We greatly appreciate the work of our faculty, staff, candidates, and school partners in achieving this important recognition.

This accomplishment reflects our continued commitment to preparing highly effective educators and school leaders who positively impact teaching and learning across our communities. Accreditation through CAEP affirms the quality of our programs, our culture of continuous improvement, and the strong partnerships we maintain with P–12 schools throughout the region.

Students in EDU 37100 finished their final lessons of the semester today! One PFW student brought her ducks to school to help students build background knowledge in preparation for the lesson. The Study Elementary students loved petting the ducks and getting to learn outside!

Students in the EDU 20000 Southwest Allen County Schools (SACS) field cohort met for their final check-in meeting today at Homestead High School. The students shared all of the amazing experiences they have had in classrooms throughout SACS and reflected on their goals of becoming a teacher. Thank you, HHS, for hosting us!
