Finals are officially done, the sun is out, and we celebrated by spending the entire day at Cidercade. It’s the perfect way to close this chapter and let loose before we all head off for our separate summer adventures. We spent hours running between arcade games and winning prizes, savoring these last moments together outside of a classroom.

If you need us, we’ll be ignoring our emails until August. This Cidercade day was necessary ☀️. Between the nostalgic arcade games, the food, and everyone just enjoying the moment together, it was the perfect send off before summer break officially starts. It felt good to just relax, have fun, and make the most of our last day together. Now it’s time to trade the textbooks for some much needed sunshine and summer memories. ⛱️

Meet Dr. Brashanica “Kiki” Thompson, our SEU extension site professor. She is a deeply authentic, compassionate, and purpose driven educator who impacts students far beyond the classroom. She encourages students to understand who they are in Christ. She also reminds them of God’s intentional love and purpose for their lives. With multiple degrees and a lifelong commitment to learning, she embodies both wisdom and humility. She uses her knowledge to uplift and guide others. Elizabeth Jimenez embodies strength, resilience, and quiet excellence. A brilliant mind with a gift for writing, she continues to push forward, even when the pressure is high. If her college journey had a title, it would be “Forged in the Fire”. Because she doesn’t just endure challenges, she grows through them.

Whether she’s pursuing psychology or exploring a future in criminal justice, one thing is clear: Elizabeth is built for impact. She’s humble, hardworking, deeply caring, and always uplifting those around her. While she may not always give herself enough credit, her impact speaks for itself.
