ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. was incorporated as an Academic Sorority in 1979. Scholarly excellence is one of our strongest missions. Each chapter has an Academic Chair to oversee the members' academic progress. The chapters host study skills workshops, time management workshops, study sessions and much more not only for the members' development but for other students as well.

HISTORY
Lambda Theta Alpha was founded in December 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey and has since grown to over 110 chapters nationwide. It was the first Latina based sorority and to this day strives for its goal of academic excellence. Its purpose is to create a support group for Latinas in higher education, and unite the Latino community on campus. It is not an exclusionary organization and is made up of 109 different cultures and nationalities. The seventeen founding mothers of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated are:

Nine young ladies worked three long years to bring the first and largest latina sorority in the nation to Texas Christian University. In April 2011, Epsilon Rho Chapter was established at TCU by NINE Founding Sisters:
