TCC EasyRide is changing this fall!

Eligible TCC students will now need the GoPass app to access free rides beginning October 13, 2026. From September 8 through October 12 there will be a transition period when students can use either their TCC student ID or the GoPass app.

Set up your GoPass account before October 13 so you’re ready to continue using EasyRide without interruption.

We're thrilled to announce the Child Care Studio at TCC Northwest is now open, thanks to our partnership with Child Care Associates and Tarrant County!

“We are grateful to Tarrant County for its support and to Child Care Associates for bringing top-tier early childhood education to a TCC campus,” Chancellor Elva LeBlanc said. “The student-parents we serve are preparing to enter or advance in today’s workforce. At the same time, their children are establishing a foundation for tomorrow’s job market — 20 years in the future.”

Student-parents can now access affordable, high-quality child care right on campus while pursuing their degrees and certificates. The Studio offers flexible scheduling built around class times, so students can focus on their education while their children receive excellent early childhood education.

“We have been very intentional about becoming a student-ready college,” TCC Northwest President Zarina Blankenbaker said. “For us, that means continually looking at the experience we provide through our students’ eyes and considering how we can better support their success. The Child Care Studio is an important expression of that commitment.”

For Dr. LeBlanc, the Studio extends TCC’s commitment to student success to the next generation.

“A child’s learning begins well before arriving at school,” she said. “The experiences children have in their earliest years give them a strong start for what comes next.”

It started as a promise: to make a college education available to anyone willing to pursue it. For 50 years, Tarrant County College Northwest has helped fulfill that promise, and today Tarrant County Commissioners Court made sure that fact didn’t go unnoticed.

Chancellor Elva LeBlanc accepted a proclamation from Tarrant County Commissioners Court celebrating Northwest's golden anniversary and its impact on the community.

“For 50 years, Northwest has opened doors for students who only dreamed of earning a college degree,” Dr. LeBlanc said. “It has prepared a skilled workforce that undergirds our regional economy, and it has demonstrated — generation after generation that learning unlocks potential and enriches quality of life.”

TCC Northwest President Zarina Blankenbaker reflected on the milestone: "As we celebrate 50 years, we are proud of our history, excited for our future and committed to ensuring that TCC Northwest continues to create opportunity and serve this community with energy and innovation."

Tarrant County College celebrated the faculty and staff whose talent and dedication continue to elevate student success at the annual Trailblazers Awards ceremony.

“Today we celebrate the Trailblazers of Tarrant County College — our remarkable faculty and staff — and their commitment to empower our community,” Chancellor Elva LeBlanc said. “The TCC experience is more than a career. It is a calling grounded in purpose and fulfillment.”

Board of Trustees President Jeannie Deakyne credited the College's success to the dedication and commitment of its faculty and staff.

“Every student you encourage, every problem you solve, every class you teach, every office you keep running and every challenge you tackle contributes to something much bigger than any one of us,” she said. “You create opportunities, strengthen our communities and change lives in ways that often extend far beyond our campuses.”

Chancellor's Award recipients were also recognized for excellence in teaching, innovation, leadership and service. Their work includes transforming instructional programs, creating new approaches to student support, developing innovative learning tools, and fostering classroom environments that build critical thinking and confidence.
