Kentucky State University is helping inspire and train the next generation of future veterinarians through hands-on learning!

KSU hosted 21 junior high and high school students for a hands-on 4-H Veterinary Science & Skills Workshop!

Students practiced real-world skills like triage, injections, suturing, and disease identification using life-like models. Guest speaker H. Barlow shared insights on dairy cow health and calf management.

Big thanks to Dr. Abbigail Hines and Elizabeth Workman for leading this engaging, career-focused experience!

Kristi Shive, Area Agent for 4-H Youth Development, had a wonderful time bringing the Passport in the Classroom Program to the entire 4th grade at McNeill Elementary in Bowling Green, Kentucky! 🌎✈️ Students explored different countries, cultures, and traditions while “traveling” the world through hands-on learning. Thank you, McNeill Elementary, for welcoming 4-H into your classrooms!

Megan Treadway, Area Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences and Kristi Shive, Area Agent for 4-H Youth Development taught Kitchen Safety at Lincoln Elementary in Franklin, Kentucky for Safety Day!

We went over basic kitchen safety. The kids enjoyed this fun lesson!
