Gratefulness shout-out! I am thankful for everyone’s support during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). This includes my colleagues for wearing denim, offices/departments who hosted events, student participation at programs, and the support from off-campus community partners. (Some came to campus several times. Thank you, .) An additional shout-out to Dr. Catullo and OA Myca for their planning, leadership, support, tabling, brainstorming, room reservations, flyer hanging, social media presence, etc. (The list goes on and on.) You are very much appreciated for helping Mary Wash observe SAAM 2024.

Even though it is SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month), we still work closely with Empowerhouse, our local domestic and violence agency. There are intersections for some survivors regarding their experiences, which makes them an excellent resource for UMW and the greater Fredericksburg communities.
