Our student nurse of the week is Sarah Rhoads! Here is a little about her!

Sarah I️s from Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. A couple of her favorite hobbies are going bowfishing, hunting, and just being on the water! After she graduates she would really love to be a pediatric nurse and eventually go back to school and get her doctorate in nurse practitioner and still work in pediatrics. She has always known she wanted to be I️n the medical field, her father was a paramedic so when she was growing up she would always go to further education classes with him and saw cool pictures like open fractures. One of her goals is to help other people around the world who do not have medical access. Her best advice is to practice time management before getting into nursing school, that way you can make real progress in school!

Our student nurse of the week is Heather Bills! Here is a little about her!

Heather is from Elkhorn, NE. A fun fact is that she studied abroad in Italy right before Covid hit. She will be working in the NICU at Children's Hospital and Medical Center. She chose nursing because she wanted a career that allowed her to be hands on with patients. It is also a fulfilling career because she gets to spend my time helping others. Her dream vacation is backpacking across Australia. Her piece of advice to younger students or future nursing students is don’t limit yourself to one field in nursing. There are so many options so explore all of them!
