Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at 10:00 am-12 noon on campus in the South Gym.
$20 cash only per participant.
9th Grade to College Athletes are welcome!

Spirit Fest registration is now open! 🐾❤️🏀

Spirit Fest will be on Saturday, February 19th with rehearsal from 9-11:00 am in the North Gym on campus.

Participates will then perform the evening of February 19th at halftime at a Mens Basketball game held at the SaveMart Center.

There is limited space available for this event! Registration will close on Wednesday, February 9th.

Welcome Shannon Wetzel!
Fresno State Spirit Programs Head Dance Coach.

Shannon Wetzel is a Fresno State alumni with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies and a Master’s Degree in Cross-cultural education.
Shannon cheered for the San Francisco 49ers for 4 seasons while serving as captain and taught for United Spirit Association Song Staff for 5 years.

Shannon is well known around the Valley by teaching dance at The Dance Studio of Fresno for 27 years. She has experience dancing throughout Tokyo, Japan, and Vancouver, Canada, in American Bowl performances.

Shannon currently serves as an active Member of NFL Alumni Cheerleaders Association and has contagious energy as HIGH Fitness and Barre Above instructor.
Shannon is High School English and P.E. teacher in Clovis Unified School District.

Coach Shannon Wetzel is excited to be apart of the Fresno State Spirit Program and looks forward to sharing her passion and expertise with the members of the dance team.

I close the chapter of Head Dance Coach at Fresno State. I will always cherish the sense of pride watching my girls perform at football and basketball games. Getting to experience the magic of the sidelines at the football season, the fulfillment of working with the next generation of Bulldog Dancers at our Spirit Fest events and clinics, the thrill of competition at Collegiate Championships, and the family bond I had with my dancers, are special feelings that I am so grateful and will hold them close to my heart. Watching my dancers grow as athletes and into young women has been an honor. The relationships I built with members of the entire Spirit Program and spirit coaching staff are friendships that will last a lifetime. Bulldog Born. Bulldog Bred. 🐾❤️

My next adventures include obtaining my Masters of Science in Biological Sciences, continuing to teach high school science, choreographing high school musical theater, co-leading a local women’s Bible study, and most importantly spending more time with my two boys and husband! 💜

To all of our future Bulldog Dance Members,
We will postpone in person auditions once again.
We won’t see you in the month of June or July because your health and safety is our number one priority.
We WILL rise again and begin building bonds for a new season.
Until then, support, sacrifice, believe and keep the Spirit of a Bulldog alive.
See you in August!
