On Tuesday, March 18, U.S. Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (OR-06) introduced the Building Capacity for Care Act, legislation that would address the nationwide shortage of behavioral health facilities and connect more individuals with the timely and appropriate care they deserve.

Hello any of my former Counseling graduates and LPC/APCC/LPCCs; CCDA is putting together an on-line meeting for current grad students. The topic will be on "Strategies for Getting Through the LPCC Licensure Process." I'm hoping to find a few speaker(s) who are fairly recent LPCCs who could answer questions on how they handled the process, study tips, practicum tips, things they wished they had known, etc. This person doesn't have to be an expert by any stretch -- just someone willing to share their experience with the current grad students. Would you by any chance know someone? If so please contact me directly. Thanks so much for your consideration!

Greetings Colleagues,

As some of you may know I am currently serving on the Board of Directors of CCDA -the California Career Development Association, as the Chair for the Career Counselor Educators & Research Constituency. The deadline to submit presentation proposals for our next conference has passed, and we are currently reviewing those proposals. However, there are still a few opportunities to share your knowledge and expertise of Career Counseling, Career Education and Vocational Psychology.

This is a good opportunity to gain Professional Service recognition. If you have an idea or a research project and would like to present at a future on-line presentation in March, April or May please send me an email message and include the following;

1. Title of your proposed presentation

2. Brief paragraph explaining the presentation/workshop purpose, idea, etc.

3. 3- 5 Learning Objectives, (i.e., As a result of attending this presentation the participants will learn…?)

4. After peer review and if selected, CCDA will prepare your presentation to offer Continuing Education Credits, promote and provide the Zoom setup and IT support.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I would be happy to meet with anyone who wants to speak about topic ideas or wants feedback on your proposals.
