Meet your 2022 - 2023 President!

Hi! If you don’t know me, my name is Karenna Heil and I am so excited to be this year’s president. I am in my final year at Fresno State, and I will be graduating in May with a degree in Enology. Outside of school, I work at the Fresno State Winery as the office student assistant, so you may have seen me around! I was raised in Templeton, a small town on the central coast immersed in the Paso Robles & San Luis Obispo wine regions. I grew up surrounded by many wineries, and even had grapevines in my backyard, so getting this degree is a full circle moment for me.

I have only been an active member of the Vit Club since last fall, and that is something I really regret. I have made so many fun memories since joining, the best ones being all the fun games we play at meetings! I implore you to get involved as soon as possible, and not make the same mistakes that I did! The life-lasting friendships I have made in this department have been the highlight of my Fresno State career!

Over the next few semesters, I’m looking forward to meeting more people, working on the 2023 Graduate’s Blend with the other staff, and planning some amazing events/trips for our club! After completing my final semester, I hope to get a job as a Wine Club Manager for a midsize winery as I work towards obtaining my MBA.

I look forward to serving you this year, and I can’t wait to meet you all! Go Dogs! 🍷🍇🍁

Meet your 2022 - 2023 Vice President!

Hi everyone! My name is Sedona Howell and I am this years Vice President of the Viticulture Club! I will be a senior this year then I will graduate with a BS in Enology 🍷! I'm also an assistant winemaker this year for the Fresno State Winery, so you'll see me around the facility a lot :)
I'm from Santa Rosa which is part of Sonoma County, so I've been surrounded by wine and grapes my entire life.
My plan after I graduate is to take a gap year and work a harvest here and possibly in another country before I return and continue my education at UC Davis to earn a Masters degree in Viticulture and Enology. I hope to one day become a winemaker!
My favorite memory from vit club is definitely helping with the Fall Harvest BBQ for the 2 years I volunteered for. If it weren't for COVID I would've helped all 4 years since it's so much fun. I can't wait for the BBQ this year and can't wait to meet all of the new members! Let's have a great year!!!🍷🍇

Meet your 2022 - 2023 Secretary at Large!

Hello, my name is Raul Ramirez and I will be serving as this year's secretary at large. I am getting my BS in Viticulture and will be finishing up my last semester this year here at Fresno State. I am from the central coast and live in the small town of Los Alamos. My plan after finishing school this semester is to travel through Europe for a couple of weeks and then come back to be an AVM for the Vineyard Management Company I’m working with. I’m excited to make new great memories with the new officers and the new members.
Cheers! 🍇

Meet your 2022 - 2023 Treasurer at Large!

My name is Esteban Garcia. I was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and was raised in Santa Maria, CA. I'm currently a senior at Fresno State majoring in Viticulture. Soon I plan on returning to complete my Master's in Business. I want to become a vineyard manager and eventually move up and become a VP. Some of my favorite memories from the Vit Club here at Fresno State were made during the Fall BBQ. I got to meet new people and made friendships that are going to last forever! I'm excited to complete my Bachelor's degree this Fall. I want to be able to make any incoming student feel welcome and help them in any way possible! Cheers!! 🍇🍷
