Fresno Pacific University Music Department

Fresno Pacific University Music Department FPU Music program is designed to help students grow as performers, creators, and leaders.

Students will dive into music through performance, theory and hands-on experiences that help them use their gifts to inspire others and make a difference. The music major provides students with preparation for life-long appreciation of and participation in a rich variety of musical forms of expression. The major emphasizes performance and combines theory with practical participation in a variety o

f musical activities. The curriculum is designed to prepare skillful musicians, effective communicators, creative teachers and responsible servant leaders in the church and the community. Through the study of music theory and history and the practice of music performance, students will be prepared for lifelong exploration of music.

Our final senior recital of the year was performed by Destiny Rosales on Wednesday evening. She worked together with collaborative pianist, Matt Horton, and also fellow student, Juan Meza to complete the first half of her program. The evening ended with a time of worship which she planned and recruited musicians to help her tell her story.
