ATTENTION ALL MILITARY MEMBERS/VETERANS IN NORTH CAROLINA:

In a fraternity context, "line crossing" refers to the ceremony or event where a group of new members (called a "line") officially become full members of the fraternity, signifying their transition from pledge status to full membership; the "letter" part refers to the fraternity's Greek letters which are often prominently displayed during this ceremony, signifying the new members now fully represent the fraternity.
