Abrego Future Scholars The CSUF Abrego Future Scholars Program was established in an effort to increase college participation of first generation college students.

The Abrego Future Scholars Program provides financial and academic support for students during their first year of studies at California State University, Fullerton. The Abrego Future Scholars Program awards up to fifty $1,500 scholarships to first-time freshman/first-time transfer students. The program has been designed to facilitate the transition to college for meritorious students who are disa

dvantaged due to their economic, environmental, or educational background. Additionally, the program honors students who demonstrate strong academic skills, strength of character, and service to their school and community. The Abrego Future Scholars Program along with dedicated faculty and staff provide students support services such as academic advising, student life activities, mentoring, campus-wide connections, and the necessary tools to ensure their success. Additionally, this program works closely with four additional scholarship programs: Hispanic Education Endowment Fund (H.E.E.F.)Opens in new window, TELACU Educational FoundationOpens in new window, Dreamer Book Scholarship, and the William Hernandez Scholarship.
