We are excited to announce our Titans Talk Business event featuring CSUF alumni Terry Giles '70 and Joe Moderow '70, moderated by Sathya Chey, '08.

Cal State Fullerton business students, alumni and our community have the opportunity to gain insights on how to overcome hardships and achieve lasting success from these alumni who have all defeated adversity and built amazing careers. There will also be opportunity to talk directly with these industry leaders through a Q&A--so bring your questions!

Giles, an entrepreneur and president of holding company Giles Enterprises, has had a lifelong friendship with retired UPS senior vice president Moderow that began when the two men were in their senior year of high school and continued during their time as undergrads at CSUF.

Chey was born in a refugee camp to parents fleeing the Cambodian genocide, and used the model of her hard-working immigrant parents in her pursuit of a degree and success as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo.

On this we salute, Astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson, ’93 (B.S. chemistry) who recently made an appearance in the Class of 2020 virtual celebration video. Caldwell Dyson is a 20+ year NASA astronaut who has spent 188 days in space. She has also completed three space walks and over 22 hours of EVA — extravehicular activity (activity done outside the spacecraft). We are grateful for Calwell Dyson’s campus visits over the years. Alexis Rock is part of a joint accounting program between Irvine Valley College and Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College, which enables students to complete their associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting within an accelerated format. Students in the program go from high school graduation to a masters degree in only five years.👏

Alexis talks about her experience in the program and the innovative high-tech solutions she is learning at that are preparing her for success upon graduation.
