CSUF National Association for Music Education We are the Cal State Fullerton chapter of NAfME, one of the world's largest arts education organizations. Contact us if you would like to become involved.

The CSUF NAfME Chapter was established in October of 2014. We are a student organization that focuses on providing resources and opportunities for all students and teachers involved music education. On-campus, we work to supplement our education by providing professional development opportunities. Off-campus, we work to become advocates of music education by providing workshops, chamber tours, and

other opportunities for local schools. The CSUF NAfME chapter is dedicated to improving the quality of music education for all.

Our choral music representative is Krista Scharf! Krista is a post-baccalaureate student working toward obtaining her single-subject music credential. If all goes to plan, she will be student teaching in the fall and will be another step closer toward her goal of becoming a public school choir director! Krista is so thankful that she has found the career that matches her passion for music with her talent for teaching and she feels that there is no more rewarding career in the world! She is a firm believer in life-long learning and is excited by the fact that music is ever-changing and that there will always be more to learn about it. She want to instill this thirst for learning in her future students and to help them build the skills to continue music outside of her classroom. When she is not busy teaching or learning, Krista enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend, and friends, and trying to find some time for coloring. She is so honored to have been selected to serve on the board for this new student chapter of NAfME, and promises to do her best to get this chapter started on the right foot!

Our Membership Education Officer is Taylor Harb! Taylor is "the singing-cellist". She is currently student teaching band and orchestra in Yorba Linda. Her degree is in music education, and her instrument is cello, but she also sings and plays piano (and a little guitar, bass, trumpet, and a few other things). Taylor loves music for a lot of reasons! She started music at a very young age. Her grandpa is a musician, and was her first teacher. He has always encouraged and supported Taylor in her musical career. She love teaching, and looks forward to passing on her love of music and education to the next generation. In her free time, Taylor rides her horse, Sampson, waterskis, writes songs, knits, and colors.
