The Accounting Department recently organized an event with Deliotte and the CEO Leadership Alliance of Orange County that drew more than 100 students, providing a valuable opportunity for them to connect with industry professionals, explore careers in accounting and more. A huge congrats to Accounting Professors, Diana Hsueh and Brandon Tran for cultivating this prosperous partnership!

Simpson & Simpson Management Consulting, Inc. Recently visited also our campus to deliver the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Southern California Project Achievement Award to our Capital Projects team for Building 300’s Modernization and Seismic Retrofit. An exciting achievement, our President’s Staff was invited to connect with the Simpson & Simpson team and receive the award alongside the project’s leads, Henry Hua and Joel Gonzalez. Excellent work, team!

Professor of Mathematics, Dr. Dana Clahane, was recently awarded a federal grant of $499,893 by the National Science Foundation (NSF). A prestigious award, the grant will elevate undergraduate mathematics education in a project titled “Building Mathematics Research Communities at Two-Year Colleges” (BMRCTYC).

Meet Justin Mendez, a third-year communications-journalism transfer student with a minor in marketing at Cal State Fullerton. With a love for sports and a passion for visual storytelling, he’s on deck to make his mark in the entertainment industry as a rising sports creative.

At Fullerton College, Justin has always been determined to pursue excellence in his craft, from interning in the photo lab to covering sports games with Hornet Media. He has also worked with Titan Athletics since his senior year of high school, producing live content for a variety of sports including baseball, softball, and soccer. From working with Titan Athletics and TitanHEALTH to covering major sports teams through The Sporting Tribune, Justin hopes to continue sharing impactful stories to change lives and inspire communities beyond Fullerton.

Meet Jazmin Mendez, a fourth-year psychology transfer student at Cal State Fullerton with a minor in human services, who is turning her lifelong passion for helping others into a future as a licensed marriage and family therapist.

From her early days as a peer health educator at Fullerton College, Jazmin has continued serving as a passionate advocate for student wellness and violence prevention through her role at TitanTHRIVE within TitanHEALTH. As she prepares to graduate this spring, she hopes to return to CSUF to pursue a master’s degree.

Comprised of programs that enhance problem-solving skills and provide applied, hands-on experience, this pathway prepares future leaders in engineering, architecture, computer technology and more.

For Karen, her bright future started with the Teacher Pathway and Promise programs at Fullerton College, where she found community, support and a clear path to pursue her goals at Cal State Fullerton. Now a confident future educator and global learner, she hopes to make the world a better place, one classroom at a time.
