Hopefully Seth is able to get better and have a successful bone marrow transplant. A reminder to all 150 that registered to become a donor that you can make a life saving impact for someone.

In a viral video, Seth Lane held up yellow signs asking people to use the hashtag on March 27, and to share their pictures on social media.

Tutors are still needed for Blue Jay Buddies and the HiSET classes.

Blue Jay Buddies times are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:15pm(ish) to 4:15 or 4:30pm at the McIntire Elementary school (near the townhouses). Tutors will help 3rd, 4th, or 5th graders with their homework and interact with the students in a general positive manner after school.

The HiSET classes are offered in the John C. Harris Community Center (across from Breaktime where the Soup Kitchen is housed) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am and/or 6-8pm (there is an opportunity to tutor at other times). The HiSET classes are offered to those that are trying to get their GED (students would be over the age of 18 and age range can vary greatly).

Applications for both are outside the Office of Community Engagement (lower-level of HAC, near the pool tables).
