The DPM degree requires 100 graduate credits and takes between 3 to 4 years to complete. The DPM curriculum trains students in the prevention, diagnosis and management of plant health problems. Required courses and internships are presented by faculty in all of the relevant disciplines including Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture, Nematology, Plant Pathology, and Soil and Water Science.

The session will feature short talks from experienced Extension professionals and a hands-on logic model activity, highlighting how Extension programs move from ideas to implementation in practice. The workshop is open to all ESA-SEB 2026 attendees and may be especially useful for graduate students, postdocs, and early-career professionals.
