June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, so celebrate and commemorate the tremendous strides that the LGBTQIA+ (le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning), intersex, asexual, and everyone else) people have made it in history!
Pride Month is held every June is to commemorate the Stonewall Riots of 1969, and while it celebrates the progress the LGBTQIA+ community has made, it also serves to draw attention to the issues members of the community STILL face. Especially LGBTQIA+ folx of color and Black trans women and femmes.
Pride Month serves as a reminder that everyone should be equal no matter their sexuality or gender!
Be proud of what makes you, you!
