We will be hosting a Living Shorelines Practitioner Training course in Flagler and Volusia Counties on September 30 and October 1. This two-day course is for anyone looking to learn more about the benefits of living shorelines and what considerations must be considered regarding the planning, permitting, installation, and maintenance processes. It is open to marine contractors, landscape architects, municipality staff, property owners, and all others interested in promoting living shorelines.
The course will meet in person at the UF/IFAS Extension Flagler County office (150 Sawgrass Rd, Bunnell) for classroom learning and include a field visit to a living shoreline site at Tomoka State Park (1800 North Beach St, Ormond Beach). The course meets for both September 30 and October 1 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Registration is $50 and includes the course books and lunch.
